· Northeast corner – Don Godwin just purchased this past week the 120 acres at this corner, proposed for another mixed-use development
· Southeast corner – Don Godwin owns several hundred acres on the southeast side, with numerous developers bringing proposals.

LBJ Freeway Express – 83% Complete
The LBJ Express project will be completed by December 2015, Dia Kuykendall of NTTA said Friday afternoon. The $2.1 billion project is currently 83 percent complete. Major arterial streets that cross Interstate 635 are expected to be completed in the next few months.
October:
· Denton Drive will be restored to its original capacity.
· Webb Chapel Drive will open three lanes in each direction.
· Josey Lane’s intersection will be reconstructed. Completion set for spring, 2015.
The project includes TEXpress Lanes, or managed toll lanes, some of which have already opened. The sections that opened are on Interstate 35E and portion of I-635 east of Preston Road to Greenville Avenue. The remaining section from I-35E to Preston Road is mostly trenched underground with the free lanes built over it. Construction started in 2011.

The Northeast Gateway Turnpike
Residents in the Blacklands Tollway Corridor of eastern Collin and Hunt counties will have their chance to speak this week on the proposal of the new tollway, and its linking, Wylie, Lavon, Garland, Rockwall and Greenville. It would begin at the Bush Turnpike at Rowlett/Garland and travel northeast to Greenville. The North Central Texas Council of Governments will present its recommendations at a public meeting Thursday in Lavon. The most immediate project is the toll road, now called the Northeast Gateway project. It’s designed to take some of the traffic from I-30 and busy State Highway 78 and do it quickly. Dallas-based Texas Turnpike Corp., the company behind the toll road idea, said construction could begin as soon as 2015. Texas Turnpike officials say the project makes financial sense and meets a need as regional growth pushes north and east. The anticipated price tag, according to project manager and Texas Turnpike vice president Neal Barker, is less than $500 million.
